How This Primrose Hill View Can Change Your Mentality

Primrose Hill

Look at this view from Primrose Hill. You see that pointy tower in the centre? That’s your goal.

On your way to your goal you’re going to have to go through those bushes and trees. You may get lost and come out on the other side but way off from the tower. You may even come back to the same side you started!

However, at least you started.

Imagine if you just decided to stay at the top of the hill doing nothing, and not trying to reach the tower for a myriad of excuses – you’re never going to get there.

Now what do you think is more fulfilling in life – watching the nice view and dreaming about what being at the tower is like, or living your life fuelled with ambition to reach that tower, as that is where you truly want to be in life?

I know what my choice is. What’s yours?

Make your first step today.

Why appreciation is key to happiness

Beautiful Scenery

Most of us are ungrateful bums. Including me.

It was only until a few months ago when I realised just how ungrateful I was when I decided to go on a mission to improve as a person.

My mum has given me unconditional love for as long as I’ve been alive, and I never really appreciated it until last week when I literally just sent her a message saying ‘thank you for the unconditional love btw’.

It really is important to take a step back and appreciate all the beauties of life to enjoy it.
Appreciation helps you look at all the positives of life; when you do this you will naturally start to exert positivity and love to others, even without saying anything. It will also help you reduce stress, be a nicer person, and make others happy!

I took that picture right now, sitting on a bench in Regents Park, appreciating the amazing view, because life is beautiful!

Life is too short to be lived grumpy. Share the love and love life!

How To Transition To A Successful Mindset

success

Achieving goals and becoming motivated is mad weird because you would think that it would be easy to stay committed – these are things which we know we would love to have, such as good grades, a chiseled body, or a dream job.

But, for some reason we want to just lay around and procrastinate instead – why is this?

From my journey so far I have learnt that is a result of 2 major things: fear and instant vs long-term reward.

Fear is a major one: simply put we are scared of attempting to achieve our goals in case we fail. This is understandable – who on earth wants to be a failure?

I learnt to overcome this without even knowing over a few years when I finally lost weight. It made me realise that I am capable of doing so much in life that I just started to believe that I was invincible and could do whatever I wanted.

Now in life us humans are lazy and will always go for the easiest choice in life, and it applies to achievement as well – we would rather get effortless satisfaction from the Big Bang Theory than to spend that time invested in ourselves to become a better version of ourselves.

A few years back I was the definition of this: I watched all 8 seasons of scrubs over 6 days when I was 14… However, when I got that initial burst of motivation to sort my fat out it caused a very little snowball to start rolling down the mountain. When I started to notice that it was gaining a little bit of momentum I slowly got bored of constantly watching TV shows and playing CoD, and starting to invest a little more time in other skills such as skateboarding and learning to ride a bike backwards. Sure I still watched TV, but the amount of TV I felt I needed to watch started to decrease as I felt the urge to become a better version of myself as I started to appreciate the amazing internal feeling of progression.

Now at 19 I watch 2 TV series, Suits and Limitless (epic shows). I also watch a little Youtube, however after a while I just get bored and need to do something which will make me become a beast – the snowball has gained so much momentum and pace that there is no stopping it.

Once you get that little short boost of motivation to get that snowball going you will slowly but surely set yourself on a path to dominate life. Do yourself a favor and take that first step; start having one less bite of your food each day or ready for 5 minutes on the bus… do something so simply and effortlessly to slowly wire your brain to want to get bored of slacking and built to achieve.

The most useful tip for weight loss

Food

Right now you will receive the greatest tool I can give you to lose weight. It is free and you already have it.

You ready? Here we go…

STOP LYING TO YOURSELF.

That’s it.

As soon as I am chatting to someone about weight loss and they say ‘but I only had…’ I switch my ears off and day dream about Scarlett Johanssen.

In 99% of instances they are lying to themselves. They don’t want to accept that they let themselves get overweight, so they subconsciously blame it on factors they can’t control, such as a low metabolism.

I was overweight until 14 even though I was very active, played over 8 hours of tennis a week and was part of our school’s tennis, hockey basketball, and badminton team, and went for bicycles rides with my dad almost every week.

However, I ate too much and used the sport as an excuse for it. Also, I had a name for being that guy who ate a lot too, which kept me wanting to eat a lot.

It was not till I was 14 when I was completely honest with myself and admitted that I had let myself become overweight. I was the one putting the food in my belly, it wasn’t getting force fed down me.

So what did I do? I ate less food and dedicated some time to do pushups, squats, pullups and skateboarding more. That’s it. I lost about a stone and a half over 2 months and was officially not fat anymore.

Easy.

It is all about being open and true to yourself. Embrace and accept that you have been eating too much. Don’t try and hide away from it or hate yourself for it. Just embrace and accept it and cooperate with your body to overcome it.

If you need a plan to help just grab my book (pinned post) – but to be honest you don’t even need it… Just eat less and exercise more.
